High Temperature Covers for Irish Naval Service
Some high temperature covers we manufactured for our client Ins-Spec Insulation Services Ltd.
Ins-Spec installed these covers on the LÉ Samuel Beckett and LÉ Róisín, two Irish Naval Service Offshore Patrol Vessels.
Thermal covers have many applications. They can be used to protect personnel from coming into contact with hot surfaces. In this application they can also act as shields to avoid oil spray or leakage onto hot surfaces or other ignition sources in order to meet the safety standards for ships as laid out in the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) convention.
